TRIZ... What is it?


Acronym TRIZ means theory of inventive problem solving.. Wondering how it becomes TRIZ & not TIPS (English Acronym)..
TRIZ stands for teoriya resheniya izobretatelskikh zadach (as in Uzbek) is a problem-solving, analysis and forecasting tool derived from the study of patterns of invention in the global patent literature.
Why in Uzbek? because it was developed by the Soviet inventor and science-fiction author Genrich Altshuller, born in Tashkent, Uzbek SSR, USSR.
Following Altshuller's insight, the theory developed on a foundation of extensive research covering hundreds of thousands of inventions across many different fields to produce a theory which defines generalisable patterns in the nature of inventive solutions and the distinguishing characteristics of the problems that these inventions have overcome.
Since, I am working over some solutions for some problems & may be some of them could be patented; as I came across TRIZ.. I found it interesting & thought of sharing a glimpse about it.
TRIZ includes a practical methodology, tool sets, a knowledge base, and model-based technology for generating innovative solutions for problem solving. It is intended for application in problem formulation, system analysis, failure analysis, and patterns of system evolution.
The research has produced three primary findings:
  1. problems and solutions are repeated across industries and sciences
  2. patterns of technical evolution are also repeated across industries and sciences
  3. the innovations used scientific effects outside the field in which they were developed

UPI stands for Unified Payments Interface. The interface is built by NPCI (National Payments Corporation of India). UPI is extension of IMPS (Immediate Payment Service) framework built by NPCI. User can transfer & receive money 24x7, 365 days. User has to download and register on an UPI app & create an unique Virtual Address to transfer & receive money to & from a bank account. An user can create multiple Virtual Addresses depending on the UPI based apps he/she is using.
